What do we do in storytime?

Baby Storytime is a lapsit program especially for babies and their caregivers.  This storytime includes 15 minutes of songs, fingerplays and lap games, plus time for your child to play and time for you to visit with other caregivers.  The fall baby storytime will feature the same songs and activities every week.  This repetition of rhymes and songs forms a foundation for learning for your baby and strengthens the language connections in the brain.

Toddler Storytime is designed for toddlers and their caregivers, featuring brief stories, rhymes, songs, fingerplays and other activities.  A short, optional playtime follows.

Preschool Storytime is designed for preschoolers and their caregivers, featuring stories, rhymes, songs, fingerplays and other activities.

Storytimes are designed for caregivers and their children.  Due to capacity restrictions, we are not able to accommodate childcare centers at storytimes.
