Two and a half Men Movers

We Move Virginia for Less

By Sponsored December 12, 2013
You have found a beautiful new house to call home.  But what comes next is reality....the dreaded move. I have dealt with many a moving company in my life. Two cross country moves, one of which they drop off a box in your driveway and you pack it yourself, then they come back for it a few days later, and one that came in and packed it all up and gave us an "estimated cost" and an "estimated" date of arrival, only to find my brand new furniture smashed and scratched and no-one wants to claim fault. Even with that extra expensive insurance policy I bought.

This time we were lucky enough to move right around the corner. So, we find a beautiful house, sign papers, get a closing date, and then Google. That's what we do. We google. You don't have to Google anymore for movers!

When I called Two and a half Men Movers, Daryl Lackey, the owner himself, answered the phone and said "sure, I'll come by tomorrow to give you an estimate. How's 10am"? He didn't give me a "window of time he would be there, he just showed up when he said he would!

On moving day, Daryl again showed up himself, again at 9am, not sometime between 8am-12pm, with 3 extra friendly, well dressed, POLITE movers and they dug right in. By the time I was finished picking up the toys my 4 year old had been playing with the last few days after most of his stuff was packed, I looked around and half of the down stairs was GONE! IN THE TRUCK! They even wrapped my furniture, TV's Couches, MY BRAND NEW MATTRESS, and took apart my huge bed and reassembled it when we got to the new house. Funny, it doesn't creak and make noise anymore, because they put it together the right way. I guess the last moving company just threw it together to be done with it.

For once I didn't have to wonder where the movers were. When movers work by the hour, and they all spend 20 minutes on the truck at a time, you can just feel your wallet getting smaller and smaller. These guys came to work, and work they did!

When they arrived at our new home, even though I had tried to mark most boxes with where they went in the new house, they made sure to ask me, "is it ok to leave this here", or for the ones I forgot to mark, they asked "where would you like this"? I have actually had movers deliver all boxes to the first room they come to and let me fend for myself lugging them upstairs or to their proper place.

Daryl and his team took care of our move. I mean I didn't have to worry about the way they handled the furniture, they were so careful with my things, and treated them like their own.
