The Child Development Academy

60 Battle Rd, Hampton, Virginia 23666

December 12, 2013
The Child Development Academy is an inclusion center offering care to children with and without disabilities.

We are a state licensed facility and accept children 6 weeks through 12 years, with hours of operation: Monday-Friday 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM.

The Child Development Academy is an exciting and challenging place helping infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children build positive friendships with peers and stretch their minds in a safe, state of the art facility. We build on your child’s natural desire to learn and discover.

Located on the Sarah Bonwell Hudgins campus in Hampton, the academy is a full inclusion program and can accommodate both disabled and non-disabled children. The curriculum is designed to promote the skills and dispositions necessary for success in life including school and community participation.

The Child Development Academy has 8 classrooms: 1 infant, 1 toddler room, 1 two-year-old room, 4 preschool rooms and 1 school aged room. The Academy uses the “Creative Curriculum” model for infants, toddlers and preschoolers.

Our teachers are highly qualified and trained individuals who possess the knowledge and skills to teach and care for young children.
