The Mariners Museum has a ton of events coming up for your kids in November and December! Take a look at all of they have planned! 


Sea Rex 3D 
Ongoing multiple times daily through Jan 4, 2015

Experience in 3D an amazing underwater universe inhabited by larger-than-life creatures which were ruling the seas before dinosaurs conquered the earth. See science come alive in an entertaining manner and get ready for a face-to-face encounter with the T-Rex of the seas! Rated G. Runtime: 41 minutes. 

JERUSALEM 3D


Ongoing multiple times daily through January 31, 2015

JERUSALEM immerses audiences into one of the world's most beloved cities. Discover why this tiny piece of land is sacred to three major religions through the stories of Jewish, Christian and Muslim families who call Jerusalem home. Join renowned archaeologist, Dr. Jodi Magness, as she travels underground to solve some of this city's greatest mysteries. Unprecedented access to the city's holiest sites, as well as rare and breathtaking aerial footage of the Old City and the Holy Land, combine to make JERUSALEM a unique and stunning cinematic experience. Savage Ancient Seas: Dinosaurs of the Deep
 Dive into the ocean depths to discover more than 20 large-scale, magnificent skeletons including the 45-foot-long Tylosaur and replicas of other ancient marine reptiles. Play the role of a paleontologist as you dig for fossils, take a photo with the largest sea turtle ever found and so much more! Savage Ancient Seas: Dinosaurs of the Deep is open now through January 4, 2015.



The Light Before Christmas 3D 
Ongoing multiple times daily November 28- December 24 

After losing their way on a cold, blustery Christmas eve, two children, Katie and Makean are rescued by their friend, the Candleman, an old sage who imparts wisdom, hot chocolate, and stories. Opening a weathered book, he begins reading the classic tale, The Night Before Christmas. Magically, Katie and Makean become characters in the poem where they learn the light of Christmas comes from the giver of all good gifts. Additional fee applies. Community Day at The Mariners' Museum
December 6 Time: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Hampton Roads residents! Take the family on a voyage of exploration to The Mariners' Museum. Admission is only $5 per person and kids 5 and under are free during the Mariners' Community Day. Explore the USS Monitor Center, handcrafted ship models, maritime paintings, rare figureheads, small craft from around the world and much more. This discounted admission price is only available during Community Day for Hampton Roads residents only and no other discounts apply. 




Maritime Mondays: Whale of a Tale
December 8 Time: 10 - 11:30 a.m.
