Understanding Healthy Development for the Whole Child

Confidence for the Crazy Journey of Parenthood

Parenting is often a dance between children’s needs and parents’ needs, especially with young children. Jodie Dolci, the owner of Source of Joy, works with families every day to understand
children’s development, and the transition into parenthood for local families.

“There’s a need to bridge the gap for parents – people shouldn’t feel like they are alone when they are frustrated or don’t know how to help their child. There are resources, and ways that you can address your child’s needs for activity or play or closeness in an age appropriate way,” said Dolci. Professional caregivers such as babysitters, nannies and preschool teachers are welcome to attend.

The workshops, held at Work Nimbly near Five Forks, include:

Balancing the Dance between You and the Children

Saturday, May 9th 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Saturday, June 13th 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

“Parents feel overwhelmed and nervous and simultaneously excited – it’s my job to help give them confidence as they move forward on the crazy journey that is parenthood,” she said.
