The 37th Annual Strawberry Festival will take place on May 8th. This year, the festival attractions will include a Soccer Shootout with the Tidewater Sharks, a Speedball Pitch, the Virginia Institute of Marine station with helpers from Artfully karaoke, a dunking booth, a book a bake sale, crafts to make and games and other fun activities to enjoy pizza, snow cones, popcorn,
Tickets will be available during the festival for 2 tickets/$1.
Many Whaley friends have been so generous in donating great items for the silent auction. More items are always welcome, so please consider donating or soliciting something for the auction. Also included in the auction will be the class baskets full of great items collected by each class. Participation in the class basket project is one way to support the festival. Another way is to contribute trinkets, rub-on tattoos, new or gently used books, and bottled water by placing them in the collection bins in the office. We are asking Matthew Family (and friends!) to sign up online this year for a volunteer assignment before, during, or after the festival.
