PFAC Art Start Program Offers Preschool Activities Each Wednesday
NEWPORT NEWS, VA – Preschoolers get a very early introduction to art in the Peninsula Fine Arts Center’s Art Start program, now in its second year.
The program, funded in part by Wells Fargo, offers guided art activities at 10:30 a.m. each Wednesday for students ages 2-5. The activities have no additional cost beyond adult admission. While creating new crafts each week, preschoolers boost their fine motor skills, think creatively and socialize with other young artists.
Students must be accompanied by an adult. Registration for each week's classes is required by the preceding Friday and walk-ins cannot be accommodated if the class is at capacity. RSVP tojdobson@pfac-va.org .

In addition to Art Start, PFAC offers two Saturday classes this fall for preschoolers. From 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Oct. 11, students can bring nature inside to create clay leaf ornaments. From 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Nov. 15, little authors can decorate their own books, then draw what they’re grateful for, just in time for Thanksgiving. Both classes are $12 for members and $15 for nonmembers per class. To register, call (757) 596-8175.
