Virginia Living Museum Celebrates the Earth April 18

The Virginia Living Museum celebrates Earth Day with special activities for our animals and guests Saturday, April 18. Observe the animals as they receive toys, treats and other enrichment activities to stimulate natural behaviors. The red wolves and coyotes may devour ice treats, while the raccoons may search for treats in a basket full of newspapers. See raptor programs in the amphitheater.

Think Green and help the VLM recycle! The Nike-Reuse-A-Shoe program will turn those smelly sneakers into playgrounds and basketball courts. Learn ways to help the environment by reducing, reusing and recycling waste. See eco-friendly cars that run on recycled vegetable oil from the Wild Side Cafe (a project that won a Virginia Green award).
