Join the Virginia Living Museum in welcoming the holiday season with events for the whole family. Experience the magic of Winter Nature Nights, find unique holiday gifts, and bring in the New Year with a blast!

Winter Nature Nights Dates: December 8-10, 15-17, 22-23 Time: 5:30 pm - 8:15 pm Enjoy the illuminated boardwalk trail as you make your way to the Dinosaur Discovery Trail, where you’ll delight in “How Do Dinosaurs Say Merry Christmas.” Meet Santa, follow the candy cane trail, indulge in hot chocolate, and get creative with cookie decorating. Experience a special holiday show in the Abbitt Planetarium. Timed tickets required. Additional ticket required for Planetarium shows.

Holiday Planetarium Shows Daytime Shows: November 24-December 31, Saturdays and Sundays; Evening Shows: December 8-23, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays Enjoy the wonder of the season with the Holiday Magic laser show and the mystery of the Christmas Star in Star of Wonder. Ticket prices vary. Museum admission required for daytime shows; Winter Nature Nights Tickets required for evening shows, with the exception of December 9. Visit theVLM.org for more information.

Paws and Pages: Storytime with the Ambassador Animals Dates: December 27-29, Time: 10:30 am and 1:00 pm Spend winter break with the Museum’s ambassador animals! Listen to captivating stories about Virginia’s native wildlife, interact with the Museum’s animal ambassadors, and engage in hands-on activities that reinforce learning. Ideal for families. Included with Museum admission.

Rockin’ Noon Year's Eve Date: December 31, Time: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm Celebrate the New Year with exciting science demonstrations, crafting, music, and eco-friendly resolutions. Enjoy thrilling countdowns at 11:00 am, 12:00 pm, and 1:00 pm. Included with Museum admission.

Accredited by both the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (living exhibits) and the American Alliance of Museums (non-live collections), the Museum’s high standards are its hallmark, as only 14 institutions share this designation in the country. Created by the Warwick Rotary Club and Junior League of Hampton Roads in 1966, the Museum is an independent 501c3 organization.
