Welcome to the Military Aviation Museum's 2024 Summer Adventure Camps! Prepare for a summer of discovery and excitement. Get ready to explore, create, and make unforgettable memories at the Museum this summer!

DESIGN. BUILD. SAIL. - A SUMMER CAMP FOR AGES 8-12 Your camper will explore everything the Nauticus campus has to offer as they dive into STEM-based activities onboard our Harbor 20 sailboats, the schooner Virginia, the battleship Wisconsin and inside our reimagined discovery center!

SAIL VOYAGERS: SUMMER CAMP FOR AGES 11-14, RISING 6-9TH GRADERS Hone your boating skills at this water-based summer camp. Campers will spend time exploring the Elizabeth River and its tributaries during this advanced sailing camp week. They’ll voyage aboard our Harbor 20 sailboats, Schooner Virginia, and other various watercraft discovering Norfolk and Portsmouth via water! Our ratio of staff to students is 3:1 making this a hands-on, engaging opportunity for your camper!

Summer’s Best Two Weeks is a transformative camp experience for grades K-8th to introduce kids to a variety of sports, develop their skills, and teach them to honor God and respect one another in the way they compete in sports and all of life. 

We have one and two-week camp options in 9 different locations from Suffolk to the Shore and the cost is $150/week ($75/week for Half day) and scholarships are available to make camp accessible for all.

The BEST nature experiences! The Nature Bus offers FAMILY-FRIENDLY Saturday trips to nature. They also offer a variety of camps for children ages 1-15. Looking for a private, group tour? Book the whole bus and customize your group experience. Hop-on-board The Nature Bus!

Museum educators help children explore nature and space through hands-on activities, touring through the Museum, and learning about animals.

Ages

Children must be four years old (for Pre-K) or have just completed the grade you are registering for. Week-long camps are offered for ages 4 through grade 5.

Cost

Pre-K Half Day Camp –  $135 member; $150 non-members

K – Grade 5 Full Day Camp – $260 member; $290 non-members 

Eco Explorer (Grade 3-5) · Full Day Camp – $315 member; $350 non-members

Our mission is to provide an overnight camp experience full of outdoor activities that invite campers into a relationship with Jesus Christ by sharing the Gospel, teaching Biblical truths, and encouraging campers to share Jesus’s love in their communities.
